Are Christmas trees in pots more environmentally friendly compared to cut trees?

Although properly cared for, Christmas trees in pots can be replanted, while cut trees cannot, this does not necessarily mean that the latter are less sustainable. This is because all of our sold trees are recycled and replanted. Each growing Christmas tree absorbs CO2 (carbon dioxide) and helps cleanse the planet.
